Today my mother called to tell me that Grandma is with Jesus.
Grandma had been in the hospital since December 18th suffering from gall stones. She weakened till the ills of this world were no longer a worry for her.
When you wish to be closer to someone there is no better way then spending eternity with them in Heaven with Jesus? Today Grandma gets to join friends and family at the throne of Jesus. I wish I could see her right now as she is reunited with her Saviour. To see her receive that crown of life and hear the Saviour say, “Welcome home my child, you have been so faithful to me, now enjoy eternity with me.”
Growing up with Grandma Sparling living just a few minutes away was a wonderful childhood to have. When Grandma suffered from a stroke in ’89 and left paralysis in her right side she determined not to let this effect her life. That has always been a huge motivation for me not to let life's woes distract me from what God wants me to do. She was greatly loved and respected in her home town of Forest and in her church, Forest Baptist Chruch. Her kindness and generosity touched many people’s lives.
Family was very important to her. She encouraged her children to be faithful to the Lord no matter where He called them to serve. What a testimony to have all 4 of her children walking faithful with the Lord (Bryon, Carman, Noreen and Norman) and all 9 grandchildren walking with the Lord. We will really miss you Grandma!

Bonita, what a beautiful picture of your Grandma (in the words you wrote, that is). Reading this inspires me to live my life more fully and richly in Christ- so to leave a legacy of children and grandchildren that are Faithful to God. :)
